Like the original, the Plumes MOSFET Mod features three clipping modes. Modes 1 and 2 (labeled “L” and “N” respectively) are identical to those found in the good old-fashioned Plumes that the hard-working pedal people at EarthQuaker Devices have been making for years, but Mode 3 (labeled “M”) is where this whole “MOSFET Mod” deal comes into play, offering a commanding, tight and focused overdrive that’s rich in harmonics and delivers an overdriven bite in line with the sound of a modern high gain tube amp.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003eAt the end of the day, the Plumes Jr MOSFET Mod features the same familiar tone controls as the original Plumes. It’s still a safe space, no worries here. It’s useful through its entire range. The low end is big and clear, and the high end is bright and cutting without killing the mids.
