This Gibson EB-1 Bass is in excellent vintage condition. It was made in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The potentiometer date code (1377018) indicates this bass was made on the 18th week of 1970. This bass is a reissue of the EB Bass produced between 1953 and 1958. There were less than 500 of the reissues produced. They differed from the original run in that they used the famous "Mudbucker" pickup instead of a single coil and also they did away with the painted on F-Hole on the body. This bass has gained legendary status due John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin and Jack Bruce of Cream using them.
This bass is in excellent vintage condition and all parts are original - including the silica packet! There are a couple of small finish chips on the back of the body and a couple of small dings on the sides and top of the body. The headstock has a few small dings as well. Some frets have light divots and wear from being in the case and moved around. This bass has not seen a lot of play and case kept for decades. All hardware and electronics function as they should.
Includes original hardshell case in excellent vintage condition, telescoping stand, and original silica packet.
