USED 1976 Gibson G-3 Grabber Electric Bass- Natural with Original Hardshell Case

This bass is in very good vintage condition. It was likely produced in 1976. The necks on these basses were mass produced in the early 1970's in the Kalamazoo plant and used later on for these basses, making the serial numbers somewhat inconsistent with their actual year of production. This bass was designed by Bill Lawrence. It features 3 single coil pickups. The forward position on the pickup selector activates the two front pickups in humbucking configuration. The back position activates the bridge and middle pickup also humbucking. The middle position activates all three pickups for the "buck and a half" position. 

This bass is in very good vintage condition. All the components appear to be original. The bridge cover is missing from this instrument, as is the pickup selector tip. There are a few small paint chips and small dings on the body, particularly on the back of the body. None of them are very large and contribute to charm of the instrument. The neck is in good condition with a few minor paint chips on the fretboard and back of neck. The neck is straight and feels great in the hand. There is a faint outline of someone's initials on the headstock, but only shows in certain lighting conditions. The pickguard has lots of play wear. The plastics and hardware have an aged appearance, but all electronics and hardware function as they should. 

The included original hardshell case is in good condition. The case is structurally sound, but appears its age. There are a few rips in the tolex and scratches all over. The fabric on the inside neck cradle is slightly threadbare.
