This Guitar:

Weight: 10 lbs 2.4 oz

Serial Number: 1752

This instrument was made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania in 1979. The EB-18 was Martin's first and only foray into the world of solid body electric basses. It has many of the appointments synonymous with C.F. Martin, such as double dot fret markers on the 7th fret and impeccable construction with thoughtful material choices. The Viennese headstock shape is a nod to European violin makers. While this instrument is well made, it didn't find an audience with Martin traditionalists or the wider market and was soon discontinued. It remains a beautiful example of an experimental time in Martin's storied history.

This instrument is in excellent vintage condition. There are minor scratches and dings on the body and a couple of small dings on the back of the neck. There are a couple of minor scratches near the output jack. The neck is in excellent condition. All electronics and hardware function as they should.

Includes original hardshell case in very good vintage condition. There is some bubbling on plastics on the front of the case and the interior case strap is worn.
