This instrument was made in October 1981 in Japan by the Roland Corporation. This classic analog drum machine was made as a compact rhythm machine alongside the TB-303 Bass Line. Both share the same form factor and were launched in 198

  • 4. Old stock of these were bought up by young musicians that then went on to change electronic music forever. This drum machine has become synonymous with the budding goth scene, holding down the beat for Sisters of Mercy, Skinny Puppy, and even provided the infamous beat to Closer by Nine Inch Nails.  This drum machine is in very good condition. There are scratches on the edges of the chassis, particularly on the bottom of the unit. The front has some signs of wear with the silver paint wearing through the plastic on some of the edges. All of the LEDs light up. All functions of the drum machine function properly and none of the keys stick. Can be powered using Boss style 9 volt center negative power supply unit or with C batteries- not included.  Sale includes Drum Machine, original box, Roland paperwork, and carrying case.  Serial Number: 11
