Made in Japan in May 1984. The Boss DD-2 Digital Delay was released in1983 and was the first digital delay in a on the market in a stompbox form factor. This pedal uses the same integrated circuit chip as the Roland SDE-3000 and produces pristine repeats ranging from 15ms to 800ms. It features mono input and mono/stereo output.

This pedal is in very good condition. There are scratches and minor paint chips on the chassis. The top of the pedal has a discolored square; likely caused by sticker adhesive. All functions of the pedal work as they should. The pots are all clean and the bypass engages smoothly. The rubber around the black screw for access to the battery compartment is torn. The top rubber foot pad is lifting slightly on one corner. The battery clip has been professionally replaced.
