This Gibson Melody Maker is in very good used condition. It was made in 1965 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This guitar has been heavily modified and is truly one of a kind. The body, neck, and frets are the only things original on this instrument. The pickups have been swapped for a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucker in the bridge position and a Fender Stratocaster single coil pickup has been added in the neck position. A custom carved mahogany pickguard has been cut for this guitar. The pickguard has pick wear and a couple of cracks towards the bottom. A 3 position coil tap switch has also been added to the electronics. Modern closed gear tuners have been added and the bridge has also been swapped out. The vibrola stop tail is missing its vibrato arm.

The body is in excellent condition and looks like it's been refinished. There are a few dings on the body and light pick wear. The neck is in very good condition. There is no warping and frets appear original. There is light nitro-checking on the back of the neck as well as a few small dings. The fretboard is well worn on the higher frets, but this does not affect playability. All electronics and hardware function as they should.
