This Amp:
Weight: 18 lbs 2 oz
Serial Number: A 04979
This amp is in excellent vintage condition. It was made in Fullerton, California in July 1965, verified by the OG stamp on the tube chart. This amp was first introduced in 1964 as a student model. It was the first of its class to feature vibrato. The vibrato on this unit is deep and warm- pure Pre-CBS Fender magic! The front mounted panel features two instrument inputs, volume, bass and treble tone controls, and speed and intensity controls for the vibrato. A single 6V6 Class-A power section drives a single 8" Oxford speaker with about 6 watts of power. This amp has become a classic for recording and home practice.
All of the components on this unit appear to be original with the exception of the power cord. The power cord has been professionally replaced with a 10' grounded cord. This amp is in remarkably good condition for its age. The tolex is in excellent condition with very few marks. There are two small dings on the front top of the amp, but the texture of the tolex makes these almost invisible in the photos. Some of the hardware has taken on a patina with age and there is a small scratch on on the front panel near the name. The amp sounds fantastic and all of the components function as they should.
