This guitar is in excellent vintage condition. It was made by the famed Fuji Gengakki factory in Japan in the 1970's. Greco has the reputation of being the "Gibson of Japan" and indeed many of the instruments they produced exceeded the quality of their American counterparts. This guitar is a beautiful example of a classic SG Custom shape. The headstock features a gorgeous multi-ply binding and split diamond mother of pearl inlay.
This guitar is in very good vintage condition. There is a finish crack on the lower horn and the binding on the neck is cracked with age. Gold hardware has blemishes and there are pick scratches on the pickguard. The neck was professionally refretted with jumbo frets in 2024. The pickups have been replaced with a Seymour Duncan Custom 5 humbucker in the bridge position, a generic Phat Cat style pickup wired as a dummy pickup in the middle position, and a Seymour Duncan '59 Humbucker in the neck position. The bridge has also been replaced. Original pickups and bridge included. Finish is chipped near strap buttons. A plectrum holder has been affixed to the back of the headstock, but can be easily removed. All electronics and hardware function as they should.
Includes original hardshell case in excellent vintage condition.
