Nick Marocco is the founder and president of Rock City Music Company which opened in November of 2016. He is an avid vinyl record collector, music lover and drummer for hard rock tribute act Denim & Leather, rockabilly legend Robert Gordon and Detroit stalwarts Twistin’ Tarantulas. Surrounded by music for his entire life, Nick’s #1 objective with Rock City Music Company is to bring the joy of music to the masses.
From Vinyl to CD's to Books and back home to Vinyl, Scotty has been working in multimedia retail for 30 years. In 2019, he brought his ethic and knowledge of music retail to Rock City expanding on the stores Vinyl, CD, Clothing & Collectibles departments. Outside of Rock City he is an avid vinyl collector and operates the Detroit based indie label Bellyache Records, of which he is the co-founder of, since 2005. He was also the bassist for the Michigan based rock band, Grande Nationals, from 2003 to 2019.
Lauren is a Livonia local, and has been managing music lessons for over three years at various outlets. Outside of her music career, Lauren is a mom, animal lover, and self proclaimed coffee enthusiast. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, baking, and listening to supernatural/true crime podcasts. If you're brand new to playing, or a seasoned player looking to brush up on a few things, Lauren can assist you on getting started with one of our amazing instructors!

His original band "Sonic Smut" has just released their new album entitled "Glaze". You can catch him beating the drums with "Sonic Smut" all over the country, or ripping up the guitar with "Denim & Leather" and "Un-Dressed to Kill" with Rock City Founder Nick.
