USED 1977 S.Yairi 730 12 String Acoustic Guitar with Case

USED 1977 S.Yairi 730 12 String Acoustic Guitar with Case

Handmade in Nagoya, Japan by master luthier Sadao Yairi. Yairi has the reputation of producing the finest acoustic guitars in Japan in the 1970's and are comparable to Martin for a similar tone and quality instrument. This instrument has lot of volume and a balanced tone- notably lacking the boomy bass response associated with dreadnought bodies. The body is constructed of a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. The craftsmanship is impeccable. The instrument has a lot of beautiful appointments, including a handmade maple marquetry strip on the back of the instrument. The neck feels substantial, but is comfortable to play.

The instrument is in excellent vintage condition. There are a play marks and a few minor dings on the body. The back of the guitar has some surface scratches on the lacquer. There are two hairline cracks on the guitar top (see photo 13). It doesn't penetrate all the way through the top and everything feels stable. There is also a scratch in the lacquer on body near the neck (see photo 12). This damage is not structural and overall this is a very clean instrument considering it was manufactured in 1977. No bridge lifting, neck is straight, and tuners work as they should.

Included hardshell case is in excellent condition. There are a few minor scuffs and scratches on the case, but overall looks clean and is structurally sound.
