This Guitar:

Weight: 7 lbs 9.1 oz

Serial Number: 7 1079

This guitar is in very good vintage condition. It was made in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The potentiometer code date to October 1956, so this Golden Era guitar was one of the first models of 1957. The Gibson Les Paul Junior was introduced as the stripped down student model of the Les Paul. Many of the appointments and electronics were removed in order to manufacturer this guitar more cheaply. This design became popular because of its simplicity. With a powerful and punchy single P-90 pickup, a volume control, and a tone control, the Les Paul Junior became the perfect tool for crafting some of rock music's most popular anthems.

The body and neck have quite a few scratches and paint chips all over. The frets are original and quite worn in. There is no headstock break. The tuner buttons and 4 of the tuner bushings have been replaced. The nut has also been replaced. Remarkably, all electronics are original and in excellent working order. This guitar plays beautifully despite the low frets and the wear on the body speaks to its long history as hard working rock and roll machine.

This guitar ships in a generic hardshell case in excellent used condition.
