This Guitar:
Weight: 8 lbs 6.9 oz
Serial Number: 117616
This guitar was made in 1966 in Fullerton, California. The Electric XII first debuted in 1965 and was built from the ground up to be a 12 string instrument. This means it was the first 12 string electric to feature individually adjustable saddles which eliminated intonation issues that plagued other 12 string electrics of the era. The split coil pickups and 4 way rotary pickup selector give it a unique sound that can be be heard on countless records, including by Led Zeppelin, the Who, and Jeff Buckley.
This instrument is in excellent vintage condition. All components are original. The body has a lovely aged appearance with light nitro-checking on the finish. The forearm contour has a few dings on it and there is light painting chipping along the bottom edge. The back of the body has two long scratches. There is finish wearing on the back of the lower horn. Original frets are worn. Back of the pickups date 2/28/1966. All hardware and electronics function as they should.
Includes original hardshell case in excellent vintage condition. Chrome on part of the Fender logo has chipped off.
