USED 1973 Gibson ES-175D Hollow-Body Electric Guitar- 2 Tone Sunburst with Original Hardshell Case.

This 1973 Gibson is the pinnacle of archtop electric guitars. Many consider the ES-175 to be the best Jazzbox on the market and I have to agree with them! The PAF humbuckers are warm and clear. Constructed in Kalamazoo, Michigan with a laminate maple body and a 3 piece mahogany neck.

Excellent used condition considering this instrument is more than 50 years old. Some play wear on the body and a few nicks and chips in the paint consistent with age. Finish still retains its glossy luster and all the hardware has aged beautifully.

Binding was added to the headstock to match a replacement handmade rosewood veneer pickguard. A rosewood and abalone inlay was added to the tailpiece. Original tuners were replaced with Spertzel Locking Tuners. The nut has been replaced with a Graphtech Tusq XL Nut and the neck has been refretted with Narrow Tall frets. Strap button has been replaced with Schaller Strap Lock. Original control knobs are on guitar and another set of concho half dome knobs are included.

The original hardshell case is included in the sale. The case is in excellent used condition. Handle has been replaced, but original handle is included in the case.
