Martin's gone electric?! This instrument was made in Nazareth, Pennsylvania in 1979. The EB-18 was Martin's first foray into the world of solid body electric guitars. It has many of the appointments synonymous with C.F. Martin, such as double dot fret markers on the 7th fret and impeccable construction with thoughtful material choices. The Viennese headstock shape is a nod to European violin makers. While this instrument is well made, it didn't find an audience with Martin traditionalists or the wider market and only 1,375 were manufactured. It remains a beautiful example of an experimental time in Martin's storied history.

This instrument is in excellent vintage condition. All components are original. There are minor scratches and dings on the body and a couple of small dings on the top of the headstock. The bottom of the guitar has scuffs and marks on it. The neck is in excellent condition. All electronics and hardware function as they should.

Includes original hardshell case in very good vintage condition. There is a small hole in the plastic on one of the corners of the case.
