This pedal is in very good used condition. It is from the first run of these pedals, made in America around 1994, with a slightly smaller bypass plate, a metal DOD plate above the bypass, and the name "Death Metal" in a hand drawn style. The design of the pedal changed in later iterations and this version has become more desirable to collectors.
Pedal is in very good vintage condition. There are a couple of small scratches on the chassis. There are a few scratches on the bypass plate. Hardware has a patina with age. Overall, the pedal is quite clean considering it is over 30 years old. All functions of the pedal work as it was designed.
From the Manufacturer:
The FX86 creates a grinding wall of noise perfect for harmonic corruption of the highest order. The FX86 emulates the death metal and grindcore sounds of napalm death, carcass, brutal truth, pungent stench, and others. One advantage of the FX86 is that it will oscillate when the rest in peace (R.I.P) control is turned up.
