Have you always wanted a real-deal US made Les Paul, but the price has scared you off? Look no further than the Gibson Les Paul Studio '50s Tribute Traditional! The Studio model is the most stripped down version of the Les Paul; cutting a lot of the fat and adornments that drive up the prices of other Les Pauls. What you are left with is a bonafide rock machine at a great price!
This model is constructed with a mahogany body and neck for unmatched sustain. The satin finish feels lovely on the hand and makes the neck feel much faster than the gloss finish that is usually standard on a Les Paul. Another feature on this model that isn't always common on Les Pauls are the push-pull coil tap humbuckers. This combined with the individual tone controls gives you a lot of control over the tone of your guitar and how you sit in the mix.
This guitar is in decent used condition. The satin finish reveals a lot of fingerprints and the thin nature of the finish on this guitar has a tendency to chip easier than other models. As such, there are quite a few small chips and dents in the paint on the body and neck. Luckily most of the damage is on the backside of instrument with the chip near the neck joint being the worst of it (see photo 14). There is a scuff on the headstock near the Gibson logo (see photo 10) and the top edges of the headstock have chips in the paint (see photo 12). The bottom side edge of the body near the output jack has a small patch of chips as well. Cosmetic damage aside, this instrument plays wonderfully and holds its tune well thanks to the upgraded Grover Locking Tuners.
The included Molded Coffin Case has quite a few scuffs and marks on it, but is structurally sound and looks cool to boot!
